I am a Girl Scout Leader of a troop in a small town in Texas. Since we are in a small town, we only have one troop. We have a multi-level troop that currently consists of Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors!
I have been with Girl Scouts for two years now.
Every year I have served as the Troop leader, Troop treasurer, Troop First Aid Adult(background in EMT helps), Troop Camp Certified Adult, and Service Unit Public Relations Specialist. Plus anything and everything else that comes up with the Troop!
I am an EMT during the summers at a Baptist Church Camp and I home school my kids during the year! So I have a pretty full schedule year round!
I have been with Girl Scouts for two years now.
- 2014-2015: I served as an assistant leader with two other assistant leaders and one main leader.
- 2015-2016: The main leader stepped down at the end of last year, I decided to step up and become the main leader still having my two assistant leaders! I still taught the daisy group during the meetings!
- 2016-2017: I am still the main leader, but have lots of volunteers under me. 3 leaders, 4 assistant leaders, 3 communication assistants, 2 cookie assistants, refreshment coordinator, fundraiser coordinator, and a decorations committee!
